  • Are there any contracts or upfront costs?

Yes, an agreement is signed, and an upfront Set up fee is required. As you will own the Stainless asset tags there is a cost for these. From then on a small replenishment service fee is charged along with any products you use.

  • What are the Colour-Digit Labels?

Consistent colour-digit labels are supplied on asset tags, pails, transfer containers, and shelf locations for a seamless identification process from the filling station to the asset.

    • Asset Tags: Each asset in your facility is marked with a matching COLOUR-DIGIT label. This tag simplifies the identification of the lubricant required for a particular machine.
    • Pail Labels: Lubricant pails arrive with COLOUR-DIGIT labels, mirroring the asset tags. This label ensures that the correct lubricant is easily identified, minimising the risk of errors during application.
    • Pouring Container Labels: Pouring containers feature corresponding COLOUR-DIGIT labels. Workers can quickly match the container to the asset, enhancing accuracy in the transfer process.
    • Shelf Location Labels: The storage cabinet shelves are labeled in coordination with the COLOUR-DIGIT system. This ensures that each lubricant has a designated space, reducing the chances of confusion during retrieval.
  • Why do you use a Colour and Digit?

We employed a colour-digit system to represent product types and grades. This method, known as “chunking,” allows for easier memorisation compared to words or symbols.

    • Colour = Lubricant Group Type (eg. compressor fluid = yellow)
    • 0 3-Digit Code = Grade of lubricant within the group type (eg. 114 = compressor 46)
  • Are the Storage unit Bunded?

Yes. All lubricants are stored in a specially designed bunded storage cabinet to NZ standards, ensuring a secure and organized environment.

  • What dimensions are the Units?

    Each unit measures W:950mm x H:1800mm x D:490mm

  • What if we've already got a storeman & ordering system that works well?

That’ excellent! Colour-Digit QUICKSTOCK doesn’t have to replace what’s already working well, but can work alongside people and processes to take them to another level. And give you Engineers a complete tracking from oil to asset.

  • What are the QR codes for?

Both asset labels and pail labels incorporate QR codes that lead directly to essential product information. This includes up-to-date safety data sheets (SDS) and compliance documentation. Quick access to this information enhances safety and ensures compliance with industry standards.

This system not only streamlines identification but also mitigates the risk of using the correct colour but wrong grade, ensuring that the right lubricant is applied to the right asset every time.
